I remember series of pictures from late Renaissance (I guess) with Grim Reaper in it. There, death was taking lives of different people in different ways, usually showing compassion towards those who have been harmed by life.
Really, really good piece of art. Not only in composition, it's beautiful because it makes you ponder! Like, is death picking the papers of him, slowly draining him? Or does he feel sorry for the old man? Kind of want to go out and hand out sleeping bags, haha. Well done.
This harbors such an important message. It's very touching. It invokes my deepest sympathies. Your detail is beautiful, and the textures are ones I envy. It has such an amazing balance. I adore the lack of face under the hood.
